Game development is the art of making games through planning, designing, modelling, rigging and programming. Video games and gaming kiosks used to be huge back in the day and now the trend has slowly shifted to mobile devices with the rise in mobile game development. The genre of the games that can be designed and developed are diverse like arcade games, action games, educational games, racing games, strategy-based games, etc.
Webgen Technologies is experienced in designing and developing different kinds of games using a range of software and tools. Our game development services are available for both iOS, Android as well as the web along with other gaming devices and platforms.
An action packed game with engaging visuals and unique player plus weapon upgrades in an AR environment.
See detailsHTML5 educational games for children between the age of 5-15 years with progressive difficulty levels.
See detailsBuilding an adventure series game model that comprises of several books, where each book has multiple chapters and the player engages in different element collection activity through an engaging game play that includes battles of progressive difficulty levels.
Restrict player movement - Reduce processing - Do away with camera jerks. On conversion of provided model files in Maya to 3ds Max for animation, the received file became "Editable Mesh" instead of "Editable Poly" posing concerns in rigging and skinning. The major task was to optimize the game as it had heavy environment and numerous models.
We had to implement the Ray Cast technique and introduce non-kinematic rigid bodies. We also had to detect collision excluding the previously adopted rules of Physics. We applied traditional techniques to overcome the rig & skin issues while extensively working on graphical asset performance to attain maximum optimization.
We forayed into the gaming industry with goals to build a wow portfolio and with the help of this project it has become possible for us to do so. We are now the development partners of a game studio in the US and are involved in the process of building a PC version of this game with the same game-flow but a different game-play.
Building an action packed game with engaging visuals and unique player plus weapon upgrades. The game has two character sets: Mechs & Zoombies. The app had to display three-dimensional images/models in the real world using visual inertial odometry, which takes advantage of the device's sensors to track the world and sense the device's orientation and position relative to the scene one's looking at, thus giving the user an augmented reality experience.
The models were re-scaled in same scale factor and we made the characters non-kinematic so that we could decide & implement the collide technique(ON-T-E) that worked best. In the Look-Up script a closed combat radius was input & a set sized stage was implemented. Our developers also transferred the models to humanoid and tweaked the game design architecture.
With this project, we earned our stripe in the sphere of augmented reality technology. At the same time we were also able to explore with Virtual Reality Technology.
Design educational games to engage children aged between 5-15 years in learning activities with progressive difficulty levels.
The major challenge of these mini web-based educational games were to suggest the best third party API for speech recognition.
Using Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM Watson, Amazon & Baidu speech API(s) we conducted a speech detection test to evaluate the performance of each one and came out with the best one to use.
We were constantly brainstorming to make such games that children between the ages of 5-10 years could best learn the three languages(English|Mandarin|Spanish) and the subjects(like room types, direction, recognition and remembrance) while all those with fun mechanics. Also, we stand at a point where we can easily advice on the which-where-when of speech recognition.
